If it's urgent:

Call me right away. Either on my home phone or my cell.

If you want to chat:

Send me a message on Signal or Keybase. I'll probably respond within an hour.

You may be tempted to send an SMS message, but I likely will not respond since SMS is a fickle and insecure protocol.

If you have something important to say:

Email is best, but you may also choose to send a Signal message. If the important thing is also urgent, just call me.

If you have something secret to say:

If the thing you choose to tell me is any more secret than you would say over the divider wall of a gas station bathroom, I prefer for it to be encrypted.

The easiest and most user-friendly way to do this is simply use Signal. It's very secure and so easy anybody can use it.

Alternatively, you may choose to send an encrypted email. If you're a ProtonMail user, this is easy - just send me a message and the software will handle the PGP encryption for you.

Otherwise, you may use my PGP public key to encrypt a signed message:
